At 13, I Left Latvia Alone With A Hockey Bag. This Game Is My Whole Life.

I'm Roberts Cjunskis — pro hockey player, #75, from Riga, Latvia.

At 13, I moved to Switzerland alone to chase hockey. The first two months, I slept on a couch in a hockey shop. New language, no family, no shortcuts — just the game.

I climbed. National League debut with HC Lugano. A Sky Swiss League Championship with HC Sierre. Call-ups to the Latvian national team.

Then my knee gave out. Full ACL and meniscus reconstruction — the kind of injury that ends careers.

So now I'm doing the only thing I know: rebuilding, drill by drill. My hands, my feet, my body — from zero. And I'm documenting every step of it.
